retirementcalc.ca ("we") is a free retirement calculator for Canadians. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how it's used — in plain language, no legalese.

The calculator itself collects nothing

All calculations (portfolio growth, Monte Carlo simulations, withdrawal scenarios) run entirely in your browser. No data is sent to our servers.

Cookies and Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, device type, approximate location) and to improve it. These analytics cookies aren't essential to the calculator's operation — they only load if you click "Accept" on the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline or dismiss the banner, no Google Analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set.

This data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's browsing data, which will show the banner again.
